This formula is extremely gentle. These herbs have been combined for proper colon health. The idea with this formula is balance, digestion, assimilation, and elimination. This formula should be easily tolerated by everyone, depending on amount taken. None of New Sun's Chinese formulas are habit forming.
The Formula:
Xing Ren (Apricot Seeds) - May help with lubrication and increases circulation in the intestine.
Bai Shao (White Peony) - May help to stop spasms and minor abdominal pain.
Hu Ma Ren (Flax Seeds) -May lubricate and encourage bowel movement and is a good source of fiber.
Da Huang (Rhubarb) - A small amount is used for occasional constipation.
Zhi Shi (Orange) - May break up stagnation in intestine for elimination.
The herb Xing Ren (Apricot Seeds) has additional health benefits as do the others in this formula. Xing Ren has been shown to: help remove toxins in colon, liver, and gall bladder help with stomach discomfort and digestion soothe digestive system, dry stool and dry mouth. Hu Ma Ren (Flax Seeds) compliments the main herb in this formula by acting with lubricating the colon. It is a good source of fiber and can provide help for all ages, especially the elderly recovering from an illness.
