Artemisia vulgaris: (Boericke) (Clarke) (Mugwort) Pain in the eyes and blurring of vision. Sharp shooting pains through the head.
Histaminum : (Julian) (Histamine HCL) - Great weakness as after physical exertion, Impatient and restless with need to move from one place to another aimlessly. Headaches with sensation of heat and burning on the head and face. All symptoms of the skin and mucous membranes in allergic types. Red, itching and elevated skin with sensation of heat. Itching and burning in nose, throat and ears. Fitful coughing. Burning in muscles and joints. Thoracic pain as if caused by contusion or crushing. Pain in ears, sensation of blocked ears with ringing and heaviness. Feeling of heat and itching at the edge of the eyelids. Feelings of foreign bodies in the eyes. Edge of the eyelids red and swollen. Yellowish secretion from the eyelids or dryness of mucous membranes. Allergic Conjunctivitis. Stinging pain as if a nail were being driven into the eye. Facial pain spreading to the teeth and jaw. Heavy compressive headaches. Sensation of tension and tightness and itching at the scalp. Muscular and joint pain. Heat and itching in the mouth.
Adrenalinum: (Boericke) (Extract of adrenal gland) - Congestions of the ethmoid and sphenoid sinuses, also hay fever, have been markedly alleviated by Adrenaline. Adrenaline has been suggested in acute congestion of lungs, Asthma, and hay fever. Sensation of thoracic constriction. Headache with burning heat. Flushes of heat over the face and head.
Allium cepa: (Boericke) (Red Onion) - For symptoms of the common cold, headache, sneezing, red, burning and watery eyes, increased nasal discharge. Hay-fever, Hoarseness. Hacking cough on inspiring cold air. Tickling in larynx. Sensation as if larynx is split or torn. Oppressed breathing from pressure in middle of chest. Constricted feeling in region of epiglottis. Pain extending to ear.
Arsenicum iodatum: (Boericke) (Iodide of Arsenic) - Is to be preferred for persistently irritating, corrosive discharges. The discharge irritates the membrane from which it flows and over which it flows. The discharge may be fetid, watery, and the mucous membrane is always red, angry, swollen; itches and burns. Influenza, hay fever, old nasal catarrhs, and catarrh of middle ear. Swelling of tissues within the nose. Hoarse, racking cough and profuse expectoration of a purulent nature. Thin, watery, irritating, excoriating discharge from anterior and posterior nares; sneezing. Hay-fever. Irritation and tingling of nose constant desire to sneeze. Chronic nasal discharge; swollen nose; profuse, thick, yellow discharge; ulcers; membrane sore and chafed. Aggravation by sneezing. Burning in pharynx. Tonsils swollen. Thick membrane from fauces to lips. Breath fetid, glandular involvement. Diphtheria. Chronic follicular pharyngitis. Dry, itchy skin
Juniperus virginiana: (Clarke) (Red Cedar) - Dizzy with head feeling as if enclosed with an iron band. Eyes felt as if bursting from their sockets. Face very red and swollen.
Rumex crispus: (Boericke) (Yellow Dock) - Cough caused by an incessant tickling in the throat-pit, which tickling runs down to the bifurcation of the bronchial tubes. Lymphatics enlarged. Tickling in throat-pit causes cough. Copious mucous discharge from nose and trachea. Dry, teasing cough, preventing sleep. Aggravated by pressure, talking, and especially by inspiring cool air and at night. Thin, watery, frothy expectoration by the mouthful: later, stringy and tough. Rawness of larynx and trachea. Soreness behind sternum. Intense itching of skin.
Ustilago: (Boericke) (Clarke) (Corn Smut) - Aching in eyeballs, with much lachrymation. Frontal pain in the head: with pain in eyes; all day, with aching distress in eyeballs and with fullness in head
