Cinnamon Bark
Sounds like the spice used in baking and cooking. . . well, almost! However, some serious studies show a slightly different species called Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamonom Verum).
Cinnamon may improve glucose and cholesterol levels in the blood. For people with Type II diabetes and those fighting high cholesterol, this is important information.
Cinnamon has shown promise in enhancing insulin’s action, according to researcher Alam Khan, PhD, with the NWFP Agricultural University in Peshawar, Pakistan. It helps in removing artery-damaging radicals from the blood and helps improve function of small blood vessels.
This type of cinnamon is very supportive for the digestive system. It is a potent antioxidant and support for cardiovascular function, heart, circulation, Type II Diabetes, stomach pain, gas and bloating.
Chinese herbal doctors use small amounts of Cinnamon in many formulas to help activate other ingredients and help them work better and more quickly with many disorders. One capsule per day of Cinnamon Bark added to other herbal formulas could increase the effectiveness of that formula.
