Pregnant Mothers need to keep and sustain high blood levels of uterine specific minerals that build, strengthen and tone reproductive tissues. Pregnancy Formula provides these essential minerals in rich supply. This special formula contains uterus and capillary-toning herbs that help prepare the uterine and birth canal tissues for an easier labor.
This is a gentle formula that can be used from the beginning of the second trimester and can be taken throughout the rest of the pregnancy. It is also excellent for continued use during the postpartum period to re-tone the reproductive system and for supporting milk production in nursing mothers.
Pregnancy Formula is not only for the mother’s health, but for the developing child in her womb, as well. MORE ABOUT THE HERBS IN THIS FORMULA:
• Red Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus) is the most recommended herb for pregnant women because it works as a uterine building tonic and can be taken throughout pregnancy in small amounts. It supports uterine strength, eases and speeds delivery, enriches milk supply, builds the tissue integrity of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract and cardiovascular system, and helps reduce nausea.
• Elderflower (Sambucus nigra) cools the liver and moderates gallbladder activity as it works in synergy with the antioxidant and flavonoid rich herbs in this formula. It increases lactation in nursing mothers and helps to keep down excess body fluids.
• Green Tea Leaf (Camellia sinensis) contain high amounts of antioxidant flavonoids. This herb helps to reduce diarrhea, stomach problems and vomiting.
• Butcher's Broom (Ruscus aculeatus) tones and strengthens the veins throughout the body and helps to prevent problems with veins and hemorrhoids as well as muscle cramps and swelling in the legs.
• Black Cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa) is high in calcium and alleviates cramps, irregularity, moodiness, female hormone related headaches and many female complaints. This herb acts specifically on the uterus and helps to ease uterine cramps.
• Squaw Vine (Mitchella repens) strengthens the uterus for childbirth, regulates the strength of contractions, helps keep vaginal tissues free of infections, supports the urinary system and reduces morning sickness.
• Cramp Bark (Viburnum opulus) is high in vitamin C factors, reduces cramping pains and spasms, soothes nervous symptoms, and is used to reduce menstrual and labor pains.
