Bilberry/Eyebright Combination
Bilberry dates back many years. It received much recognition during the Second World War when British RAF Pilots used Bilberry jam to help increase their night vision. It is said to have been used to reduce eye irritation and fatigue, nearsightedness, night blindness and increased circulation. Bilberry has been used to help with urinary problems and varicose veins. Eyebright dates back to Ancient Greece, where the claim was that it cured eye ailments. In modern times, it has been used for various eye disorders. It may be especially helpful for acute or chronic inflammation of the eye. By making a tea and using an eye cup for soaking the eyes for 10 to 15 minutes each day, it may be useful to those suffering from cataracts. Ginkgo Biloba is well known for other uses. It is excellent for blood circulation of the eye. Capsicum is added in a very small amount to increase the action and circulation of the other herbs. There is not a significant amount of Capsicum; therefore, it is not listed on the label as an ingredient. Seven mg. of Lutein has been added to each capsule for even more support for natural eye health.
Ingredients: Bilberry, Eyebright, Lutein Extract (from concentrate). In a base of Ginkgo Biloba, Beta and Alpha Carotene.
