Horsetail

Horsetail is a strong astringent and may be used for both internal and external wounds. It has a diuretic effect and is helpful in kidney infection, gravel, and dropsy. It makes a good wash for swollen eyelids (open two or three capsules and add to boiling water to make a thick tea and apply). It is helpful for polyps and oral and abdominal cancer. Horsetail is high in Silica. As we age, we lose much of our natural Silica and our joints become stiff. Taking six or more Horsetail each day may supply this missing Silica. One should feel more agile and loose within three weeks after beginning to take Horsetail.
Horsetail helps Calcium work better in the body. It is well known for its strengthening of finger nails and preventing split ends in our hair. It may increase the flow of urine and help hold the good Calcium in the body. It is also helps the prostate by shrinking inflamed mucosal tissue, as it does in other tissue in the body. Taking Horsetail helps fractured and broken bones heal faster. It is very good for eyes, ears, nose and throat, helps coagulation, and glandular disorders. Horsetail is supportive in diabetes, arthritis, kidney stones, intestinal bleeding, nervous tension, nosebleeds, parasites, urinary ulcers, and suppressed urination.
